Santander Banker Jailed For Stealing £26k

As reported by Mail Online, a Santander banker was jailed for two years after a jury found him guilty of stealing £26,000 from the account of a 78-year-old elderly woman.

Lukasz Rybarczyk – who moved to the UK from Poland in 2010 – was charged with fraud and theft.

Rybarczyk, 32, who came to the UK from Poland seven years ago, was investigated by the bank and the police but, despite a guilty verdict, the stolen money was never found.

The story of his case and conviction was featured in a Channel 5 documentary called The Accused.
