Brewery Worker Stole Over £400k

The Morning Advertiser website reports that an accounts worker stole over £400,000 from her employer, where she had worked for more 40 years.

Lesley Freestone, who worked at the Cornwall-based St. Austell brewery, duplicated invoices and processed payments into her own account over a period of nine years.

A court was told that the fraud had a high level degree of sophistication, creating a false paper trail to hide money.
