Barrister Disbarred For Lying On CV

According to the Legal Futures website a barrister has been disbarred for lying on her CV about the qualifications she received and her work experience.

Anisah Ahmed submitted a CV that falsely stated that she had been awarded a distinction for a postgraduate law degree and had been awarded a diploma in forensic medicine.

Ahmed also claimed to have nine years’ legal work experience at a law firm, but had, in fact, only been employed for one year as a secretary/receptionist.
