Warehouse Manager In eBay Scam

The Hull Daily Mail reports that trusted warehouse manager stole leather goods worth almost £25,000 from his employer before giving them to a woman to sell on eBay.

Mark Johnson – jailed for 12 months – was employed at 7 Vision Ltd in Driffield when he stole designer leather goods from his workplace, many of which were handed to Helen Parsons, who then used her children’s eBay accounts to sell them online, making more than £6,000 in profit.

The MD of 7 Vision Ltd only became aware of the thefts when the items were spotted on the online auction site well below their retail price, undercutting the company’s business.

Johnson said he had got involved in the scheme in order to fund his drink habit brought on following the collapse of his marriage, whilst Parsons said it was not a “sophisticated” crime and it was inevitable she would eventually be caught.
