Assets Seized After Employee Theft
Friday, 7th December 2018 at 8:35pmBBC News reports that a finance worker who stole more than £130,000 from her employer has had her assets confiscated.
Claire Johnston – who was diagnosed with “compulsive buying disorder” – had spent the money on luxury holidays and designer shoes.
Sentenced to a 20-month jail term for her fraud, she was also ordered to hand over available assets of £14,551 to her former employer, BGB Engineering Ltd, as compensation.
