Worker Stole Specialist Kit From Sellafield

The Carlisle News & Star reported that a man stole specialist equipment whilst working at the Sellafield nuclear plant and sold it on eBay.

Nicholas Hanna – employed as an instrument mechanic – stole two pressure calibrators potentially worth almost £20,000 and then duped a friend into letting him use an eBay account to sell the items.

Shoplifter Stole On Way To Court

Mail Online reports that a shoplifter stole a coat from Primark on her way to court and, with bare-faced cheek, asked security staff to put the tags in the bin.

Darlene Mullen lifted the jacket as she made her way to Perth Sheriff Court to be sentenced on other shoplifting charges.

Worker Stole £100k For ‘Love & Affection’

Gloucestershire Live reports that an accounts manager at an adventure holiday firm defrauded her employers out of nearly £100,000 in a bid to win the ‘affection and love’ of her children and new partner.

When Denise O’Connor resigned in February 2017, the company did not want her to go and threw a leaving party for her, but her successor then discovered a large number of suspicious transactions.
