Crackdown On Business Crime Needed

According to Talking Retail, the Northern Ireland Independent Retail Trade Association (NIIRTA) has called for a new crackdown on shoplifting, following a recent decision to ban a shoplifter from entering any shop or shopping centre in Northern Ireland.

“Shoplifting is not a victimless crime and results in the loss of millions of pounds to the retail sector across the UK, putting pressure on small independent retailers whose margins are frequently tight, ” said NIIRTA chief executive Glyn Roberts.
