GP Manager Stole £50k From NHS

As reported by Bristol Live, a GP surgery manager who had campaigned against NHS cuts stole more than £50,000 from the health service through unauthorised payments.

Patricia Mayo was in charge of accounts at the Hartwood Health Centre in Hartcliffe, where she worked as practice manager between 2011 and 2016.

On leaving the surgery, it was she had been paying herself thousands of pounds, despite her £40,000 salary.

One senior partner at the surgery said Mayo’s crimes had threatened the practice with “potential insolvency.”
