Pair Jailed For Fraudulent Ebay Business
Sunday, 23rd August 2015 at 3:09pmAccording to the GetSurrey website, a pair operated a business where one travelled around the county, stealing goods and then passed them on to his partner who sold them on his eBay account, for a 25% cut.
Benjamin Kirk and Shawn Gravett pleaded guilty to one charge each of converting criminal property, namely stolen consumer goods, between January 1 2011 to October 28 2012.
The pair originally pleaded not guilty but changed their plea after the first morning of a three-day trial.
During the trial, texts showed Gravett, and others, were stealing goods from shops to be sold through Kirk’s eBay account.
