Seller Of Fake Handbags Fined £40k

According to the Manchester Evening News website, a company on Strangeway’s notorious ‘Counterfeit Street’ has been slapped with a £40,000 fine after being caught selling hundreds of fake designer handbags.

Some 769 handbags, holdalls and purses, branded with famous names such as Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Bulgari and Hello Kitty, were seized when police raided Jamie Bags Ltd.

Previously, in September 2017, a warning was issued against the business due to suspected trademark violations.
