According to the Swindon Advertiser, a man defrauded almost £250,000 from his employer, with the help of 34 accomplices.

Aaron Kennett was jailed for fraud and money laundering after issuing false refunds to several of his friends, stealing £213,000 from his employer, Oak Furnitureland.

Jail For FD Who Stole £600k

According the Mail Online, a finance director has been jailed after admitting to stealing £600,000 from her employer to earn the love of a ‘romance fraudster’ with gambling debts.

Ilyiea Ali siphoned money from Information Security Forum Ltd (ISF), which was was not accounted for because Ali was ‘the person responsible for identifying financial anomalies.’

Council Employee’s Overtime Fraud

The Leamington Spa Courier reports that a Warwickshire County Council employee doubled her salary for more than two years by submitting bogus overtime claim forms.

Samantha Owen even went in when she was off sick to fill out the forms, and stole almost £50,000 from the council.

According to The Sun, a thief gained 18,000 fans on Instagram by posting videos of himself shoplifting.

In one video, the man calmly enters an Iceland store before he quickly snatches a huge box of what looks like Diet Coke, and darts out of the store.

Pair Stole Stock Worth £30k

According to Wales Online, a pair of employees betrayed the trust of the company they worked for by stealing more than £30,000 worth of stock.

Robert Curry and Craig Rattenbury stole items including tuna, sweetcorn and chocolate worth £30,320 over an 18-month period.
