Professor Claimed Two Salaries

The Cambridgeshire Live website reports that a university professor has been suspended after dishonestly claiming two salaries from two universities.

A tribunal heard that Professor Akhilesh Reddy, a medical doctor, was paid by both Cambridge University and University College London (UCL).

Reddy claimed he didn’t check his bank statement for months and when he did thought the universities were “sharing his salary”.

He used the proceeds of his fraud to pay off a £50,000 chunk of his mortgage.
