£118,000 ATM Thief Spared Jail
Wednesday, 15th November 2017 at 8:02pmAccording to Mail Online, an ex-prison officer who stole £118,000 from cash points was allowed to walk free from court after claiming prisoners would recognise him inside.
Chris Farrow and his colleague Jason Nixon, stole thousands from ATMs while working as delivery drivers across the north of England.
A police investigation found that over a two-month period in 2016, Farrow stole £40,170 and Nixon stole £78,070.
They carried out 89 thefts between them, whilst they were employed by finance technology firm NoteMachine to deliver bank notes to ATMs.
