Accounts Manager Stole £163k
Sunday, 8th October 2023 at 3:04pmThe Metro website reports that a 69-year-old grandmother has been jailed for 18 months for stealing £163,000 from her employer over a 13-year period.
Patricia Bennett used the proceeds of her thieving to fund caravanning holidays and trips to Spain, as well as a pop-up pub in the back of her newly refurbished garden.
She siphoned the money stolen from her employer into three bank accounts – one in her name, another in the name of her husband of 50 years.
