Asda Worker Stole £26k

The BBC News website reports that an Asda worker stole more than £26,000 over a three-month period, by creating fake refunds.

Aaron Hughes – jailed for a year – used the money to pay for “luxury” shopping trips to Harrods and Selfridges and holidays.

When questioned by police, Hughes claimed he was being blackmailed and forced to pay £500 a week.
