Barclays Bank Worker Stole £97,000

The Manchester Evening News reports that a trusted bank worker has been jailed after secretly siphoning cash into accounts belonging to her relatives.

When Helen Farrell was questioned by bosses, she couldn’t account for more than £97,000 that had been deposited into her family’s account over a period of several months.

Detective Constable Katherine Perry commented after the trial: “Farrell deliberately deceived her employer for her own personal gain. She was in a position of trust which she ruthlessly continued to abuse over a period of time.”
