Belfast Bank Teller Stole £6,500
Sunday, 24th November 2019 at 6:32pmThe Belfast Telegraph website reports that a 25-year-old Belfast man stole £6,500 from his employer, Nationwide, to fund his gambling addiction.
A court heard that Stuart Kennedy stole the money over a two-week period and then gambled with it at a local Ladbrokes bookmakers.
CCTV footage from the branch showed Kennedy taking the money, and he admitted the theft, saying it was his intention to pay back the stolen cash with his winnings.
