Cashier Stole To Repay UK & Indian Debts
Wednesday, 14th August 2019 at 7:47pmThe Leicestershire Live website reports that a Tesco cashier stole £6,000 from the supermarket by pocketing £500 wads of cash rather than sending them to the safe to be banked.
Snehal Chevada was responsible for counting up the cash at the end of the day, stuffing separate envelopes with amounts of £500.
Chevada – with debts in India and the UK – was caught using CCTV footage that showed him keeping two out of every three envelopes, and sending just one to the safe.
