Company Boss Lied On CV

According to the Scunthorpe Telegraph, a company boss lied on his CV and falsely claimed £11,000.

Craig Taylor made false claims for VAT refunds to HM Revenue and Customs to the value of £6,296.84 and £761.38 and also submitted a fraudulent CV to a company who took him on as a quantity surveyor.

“He lied about having a degree when he did not have one. He also lied about having a previous conviction,” the prosecutor said. The court heard Taylor had previously been jailed for VAT fraud.
