Criminals Try To Work In Schools

According to Wales Online, more than 400 people with criminal convictions have tried to get work in Welsh schools.

They include a paedophile who applied to work in a Swansea school, despite being found guilty of making child abuse images.

Across the whole of Wales, 20,988 checks were run in 2013/14, with 413 returning previous cautions or convictions.

The most common convictions or cautions were for shoplifting and drink driving.
