‘Desperate’ Employee Stole £1.4m

Karen Brailsford stole the money by falsifying invoices, and, at its peak, her thieving amassed £300,000 from her place of work in just one year.
A court heard Brailsford’s actions only came to light due to her desperation for money, when she took funds in such an “obvious” way on one Friday afternoon, which led to her employer discovering her fraudulent activity.
