Duo’s Day-Long Shoplifting SpreeSaturday, 11th November 2017 at 3:17pm
The Lurgan Mail reports that two women travelled from Dublin to Northern Ireland for a shoplifting spree, netting themselves almost £2,000-worth of goods in one day.
Margaret O’Reilly and Margaret Maughan stole electrical goods, cosmetics, homeware and clothing from across Lurgan and Newry.
In court, the judge said this was ‘obviously a shoplifting spree’, with O’Reilly taking a chance to come up from the South, hoping not to be caught and if caught she would ‘get a rap on the knuckles’ and that would be the end of it.
