Employee Stole Car Parts Worth £80k

The Bournemouth Echo reports that a Europcar employee stole car parts worth £80,000 and sold them for a fraction of their value on eBay.

Paul Cox began stealing after falling into debt and made an “initial denial” to his employers before admitting just half an hour later: “I was just trying to give my family a better life.”

Sentencing Cox to 12 months in prison, the court Recorder Stephen Parish said: “I am satisfied that you had a high degree of responsibility and this was a gross breach of trust.”
