Employee Theft Causes 30% Of Business Failures

A blog post on the BusinessZone website reports that the biggest single reason for the failure of a new business is employee theft.

A Global Fraud Study in America showed that 30% of all business failures are caused by employee theft, with the median loss for a single occupational fraud incident calculated as $145,000.

The post goes on to give business owners some guidelines on how to minimise the risk.
