Fake Clothing Worth £6m Seized

The BBC News website reports that counterfeit clothing worth more than £6m has been seized by police following a series of raids in Manchester’s Cheetham Hill and Strangeways areas.

Greater Manchester Police said officers had closed down 18 shops over a two-week period.

The force said it had found “dilapidated”, rat-infested buildings with “dangerous homemade electricity, hidden weapons and no proper means of escape” during the raids.
