Fake Course Scam Netted Pair £200k

The BBC News website reports that a couple from Norfolk have admitted running fake distance-learning courses which netted them sums of more than £200,000.

Katie Hope and Scott Wolfe duped 900 people into paying for qualifications which did not exist, via their firms International Distance College and the British Nutrition Council.

Wolfe and Hope claimed the online courses were expertly written by them, but, in fact, they used content copied without permission and were not internationally recognised.
