As reported on the Express website, a recent seizure of counterfeit goods by Greater Manchester police has been estimated to have a street value of £870million.

The haul was so vast it took more than 100 officers and multiple agencies 14 days to work through 580 tonnes of gear stashed away in 208 shipping containers.

Officers are now trying to trace where the items originated and track down the criminals responsible for smuggling them into Britain.
