Gran Stole £1.5M

The Daily Record website reports that a 55-year-old grandmother from Aberdeen stole more than £1.5 million from her employer’s business and enjoyed expensive family holidays, bought new cars and set up savings accounts for her grandchildren.

Coleen Muirhead set up a bogus client account under the name of ‘G Anderson’ but used her own bank details when transferring sums of cash.

After resigning from her position, Muirhead messaged a colleague to say, “Hi just to let you know I have done [the company] out of a lot of money. I was G Anderson.”
