Harmful Heavy Metals Found In Fakes

The Manchester Evening News website reports that a trader has been fined for selling fake jewellery which also contained harmful levels of heavy metals.

Ting Li’s shop was visited by Trading Standards officers, who seized a large quantity of products they believed to be counterfeit.

The brands, such as Chanel, Dior, Hello Kitty and Disney, were tested, found to be fake and contained unsafe levels of heavy metals, including Cadmium and lead.
