The BBC News website carries the story of a finance director who has been jailed for stealing £6m from his employer to fund a luxurious lifestyle which ultimately put the company into administration.

Michael Collins stole money over a 16 year period, whilst working at The Mediterranean Insurance and Reinsurance Company Limited (MedRe) which went bust in 2015.

Collins racked up a £23,015 bill at the Four Seasons Hotel in the Maldives and spent almost £50,000 at a tailor’s on Savile Row.

He asked a co-signatory to sign blank cheques before adding his own signature and paying huge sums of money into his personal account.
