KFC Worker Stole £11k In Refund Scam

The Sun reports that a KFC worker stole nearly £11,000 from his employer in Basildon, by issuing thousands of fake £1.99 refunds for popcorn chicken.

For over a year, James Anderson pretended to give the money back to customers for the £1.99 snack food, while pocketing the cash instead.

A court heard how he had embarked on the money-making strategy because his fiancée made more than he did, and he wanted to contribute to their upcoming wedding.
