As reported in the Ipswich Star, a man who stole Jaguar parts and sold them on eBay has been jailed for 12 months.

Peter Barker, the owner of a Suffolk logistics company, collected five vehicles which had been imported from the USA and took them home where he removed parts including carburettors, manifolds, lights and dashboard panels.

He had then sold the parts, which were worth £7,000, on eBay.

He was jailed for 12 months by Recorder Neil Garnham who described the thefts as a breach of trust. “You were trusted as a professional logistics firm to move the vehicles,” said the judge.
