NHS Manager Stole £802k

According to the Independent website, a former senior manager for the NHS has been jailed for defrauding hundreds of thousands of pounds from a hospital trust where he worked.

In a sophisticated fraud, Barry Stannard set up two companies which he used to send hundreds of fake invoices to the hospital, which he would then sign off himself.

A court heard that Stannard had convictions for previous offences, including theft by an employee, a stolen blank MOT certificate, handling stolen goods and forgery.
