Shoplifter Stole ‘To Be Like Santa’

The Bristol Post reports that when a shoplifter was stopped by police in possession of almost £1,000-worth of goods, he told them he wanted to give out presents like Santa.

Simon Thyer was detained by officers as he wheeled a trolley from Marks and Spencer, loaded with gifts, clothes and food.

He admitted not paying for them, saying “he went to get items he thought were helpful to poor families”.
