Shopworker Stole Ink To Sell On eBay

The Liverpool Echo carries a story of a supermarket worker who stole £10,000 worth of ink cartridges and sold them on eBay.

James Worrall also helped himself to Blu-Ray discs over the four years he worked at an ASDA store in Bootle.

He started working at ASDA in 2011 and stole two to three items a week. When interviewed by his manager, he was “very candid”, admitting that he commonly stole £10 to £24 ink cartridges.

Liverpool Crown Court heard “this was just the tip of the iceberg” when it came to staff “pilfering” at the shop.
