Tesco Trials CCTV At Self Checkouts
Sunday, 20th May 2018 at 11:41amAccording to The Mirror, Tesco has installed CCTV at self checkouts in a selection of stores as part of a crackdown on shoplifters.
Shoppers’ faces will now appear on screens above each checkout at the stores, with a warning in each bagging area that states: “CCTV recording in operation for the protection of customers, staff and stock.”
Similar security measures have already been brought in at hundreds of Sainsbury’s stores across the country in a crackdown on shoplifters using self-service tills.
