Thief Avoids Jail To Care For Baby
Tuesday, 1st December 2020 at 2:48pmThe Metro website reports that a recruitment consultant who stole nearly £8,000 from her employer has been spared jail after revealing that she has a new-born baby.
Heather McCarthy filed 20 bogus timesheets worth a total of £7,710.29 which were paid into her own bank account.
A court heard that McCarthy had stolen the money over a 12-month period, allegedly to fund her drug habit.
