Thief Used Knife To Help Shoplift

As reported in the News & Star, a thief took a knife into a Carlisle supermarket to aid his shoplifting.

Davy Gilchrist first visited Asda and, with “some effort”, removed a security tag from Bluetooth speakers, which he hid under his jacket and stole.

He then returned the following day to commit a copycat theft, this time bringing with him a Stanley knife which he used to quickly sever another security label.
