Thieves Stole ‘Because Of Brexit’
Monday, 1st November 2021 at 7:12pmThe Westmoreland Gazette website reports that two women stole groceries worth nearly £200 from a supermarket then blamed the offence on Brexit and supply chain issues.
Elizabeth Taylor and Catherine Griffiths attempted to steal from Morrisons in Barrow, concealing items under black bins bags, before paying for some items at the checkout.
Both women were fined £80 by a court.
