Woman Caught Selling Toys On Ebay

This story from across The Pond, where a Long Island woman was arrested after she was found trying to sell 800 stolen Lego play sets online.

Police said that Gloria Haas, 53, was in possession of around $59,000 (£35,000) worth of the toys, according to the Latin Post.

After allegedly noticing the large amount of Lego in a storage facility rental space where she also has rented storage, she stole the sets from the other customer’s spot and moved them to a different storage facility. She then listed the stolen items for sale on eBay.

The global success of The Lego Movie – making more than $250 (£150) million since its debut – has made Lego appealing for thieves.
