One million Brits have conciously bought counterfeit goods to save cash. A report by charity Electrical Safety First found not only are consumers risking injury because of shoddy plug-in products but £900 million of their hard earned cash goes to fund organised crime.

Jail For ‘Systematically’ Selling Stolen Clothes On eBay

A woman has been jailed after she “systematically” stole £10,000 worth of stock from a Cambridge clothes shop and then sold it on eBay.

Madeline Stock has been locked up for four months after she sold off stock from clothing store Warehouse over a period of two years.

“Ban The Word Shoplifting” Says Thief-Plagued Shop Boss

A trader plagued by thieves is launching an online petition – to have the word ‘shoplifting’ banned, according to Cambridge News. Neil Mackay, who has had electrical equipment and other stock stolen from his shop, believes the crime is not taken seriously enough.

He is calling on organisations and individuals to stop using the word ‘shoplifting’, and subsititute ‘shop theft’ instead.
