The Fashion United website reports that Etsy has been exposed as a platform where counterfeit goods are easily bought and sold.

A scathing report by Citron Research has accused Etsy’s management of knowingly or, at the very least, negligently, turning this company into the largest organized clearing house for counterfeit goods in the world.

Katrina Brown stole North Face hooded jumpers worth £919 and £408-worth of items from Currys, including a Smeg toaster and a Shark hoover.

Delivery Driver Stole Shoes

As reported on the Manchester Evening News website, a delivery driver has escaped jail after he was caught stealing trainers worth £15,000 from FootAsylum.

David Swatman – who one won £100,000 on a scratchcard in 2018 – swiped boxes of shoes he was taking from the company’s north Wales depot to Manchester.

The BBC News website reports that a burger bar manager stole £30,000 from his employers to fund his addiction to drugs, alcohol and gambling.

Anargyros Georgallis admitted stealing the cash while he worked at the Fat Hippo burger outlet in Sheffield.

£10 A Day For ‘Counterfeit Capital’ Workers

As seen on the ITV News website, the massive trade in the production and supply of fake designer brands has found criminal gangs using young migrants as illegal labour, paying them as little as £10 a day to be “spotters” – people who watch out for the police – or add labels to counterfeit goods.

According to the North Wales Live website, a drug addict whose shoplifting spree saw her threaten to physically attack, punch and stab people with a needle says she is now “too old for all of this”.

Kendra Gibson targeted Primark, M&S and a shopping mall, picking up items before bypassing the tills and walking straight out of the door.
