Co-op’s £80m Shoplifting Hit

The group, which trades from over 2,300 food stores across Britain, has been one of the worst hit retailers with a marked increase in thefts in recent years.
In an effort to curtail the current crime epidemic, Co-op began testing the use of artificial intelligence in 14 shops to detect concealed goods and alert staff members.
