Rise In Pensioner Shoplifting
Tuesday, 13th May 2025 at 7:40pmAccording to the Guardian website, food retailers in the UK have seen a “massive” increase in pensioner shoplifters over the last year, amidst the rising cost of living.
John Nussbaum, from store security firm Kingdom Services Group, has said his staff were seeing a “different sort of shoplifter now.”
He cites an “increase in pensioners shoplifting, putting a jar of coffee in their bag and one in the trolley, that sort of thing.”
