£170k Conman Stole £90k More
The Mail Online website reports that a conman who once blew £170,000 of stolen money on a cocaine-fuelled weekend, has been jailed for stealing £90,000 from his new employers.
Darren Carvill changed his surname to Medhurst by deed poll, and landed jobs as a finance assistant at a travel agency and an hotel.
Worker Stole £81k For House Deposit
The BBC News website reports that a man has been sentenced for defrauding his employer of £81,000, to partly pay for a house deposit and a car loan.
Muhammad Shafiq stole the money from a media company in Bristol over a period of 18 months, transferring the cash to his own bank account and then to a company he set up.
