According to Mail Online, a district judge plundered nearly £800,000 from customers of his law firm to fund a party lifestyle with his lover.

Simon Kenny and his assistant Emma Coates splashed out on lavish trips while ransacking funds at CK Solicitors in Selsey, West Sussex, over a four year period.

Tesco Manager Stole Electricals

According to the Rotherham Avdvertiser, a supermarket manager stole nearly £7,000 from his company by placing fake electrical orders and then sold the items illegally on eBay.

Martin Copley – who had worked for Tesco for 15 years – ordered nine electrical items including tablets and mobile phones to collect at his store and then requested a refund online.

Marine Stole Musical Instruments

As reported in The Telegraph, a Royal Marines musician stole £19,000 worth of instruments from his military band and sold them on eBay after he fell heavily into debt.

Adrian Higginson started to steal instruments in March 2015 and took eight saxophones, two clarinets, a cornet, a horn and a Focusrite amplifier, advertising them online under his own name.

Council Employee Stole Over £1m

BBC News reports that a former Dundee City Council IT officer who stole more than £1m from the authority has been jailed for five years and four months.

Mark Conway exploited a loophole in the council’s computer systems, stealing the money over almost seven years, after running up debts on gambling websites.

CV Faker Has Jail Term Cut

The News & Star reports that a convicted fraudster who concocted a false CV to get a high-paid job has had his jail term slashed.

James Alexander Hayden Cox, also submitted faked references to land a £65,000-a-year role at Britain’s Energy Coast and forged a signature to steal more than £40,000 of the company’s cash.
