The Wales Online website reports that a jeweller defrauded her uncle’s business out of money, precious metal and gems worth more than £26,000, selling items on eBay.

Sian McLean was employed at her uncle’s for four years and her role included opening and closing the shop, serving customers and buying and selling jewellery.

The Kent Online website reports that a trusted football coach stole expensive golf clubs and other equipment from his employer which he later sold on eBay.

Customer Services Manager, Alexander Foy, took the items from Medway Golf Centre in Headcorn and even posted them using the firm’s shipping account.

Soldiers Stole Military Equipment

The Yorkshire Post website reports that four British Army soldiers and one of their wives stole military equipment from their regimental stores.

Stephen Miles Bagshaw, his wife Fay Bagshaw, Ben Alexander Garner, Lloyd Doak and Thomas Smith all pleaded guilty to stealing night vision goggles, helmets, weapon sights, ear defenders, clothing and boots worth around £106,000.

The Bournemouth Echo website reports that an employee stole stock worth over £54k before selling it on eBay during the height of the COVID pandemic.

Steven Keith Fugatt started stealing in March 2020 and his thieving continued for more than a year, which caused significant harm to his employer’s business model.
