Law Firm Employee’s £338k Fraud

As reported on The Law Society Gazette website, a law firm employee stole more than £330,000 from her firm through fraudulent stamp duty land tax declarations.

Sarah Tyler made statements to HMRC and the Welsh Revenue Authority which undervalued property prices or wrongly classified the properly transaction.

Tyler then instructed the firm’s accounts departments to pay leftover excesses from clients’ online tax returns directly to her own bank account.
