AI Used To Combat Theft

The Metro website reports how a couple who own a Post Office and convenience store have adopted AI technology to address the shoplifting epidemic that was costing them £26,000 per year.

Vince and Fiona Malone went to a technology show to look at options, and they came across X-Hoppers headsets and cameras.

They have 29 AI cameras installed which analyse customers’ behaviour – if someone were to grab something from a shelf, it’ll immediately pick up on that grab motion.
