Car Dealership Worker Stole £29k

As reported on the Manchester Evening News website, an accounts assistant stole £29,000 from her boss after complaining about the cost of her 19-mile commute to work.

Rebecca Hassell diverted refunds at the car dealership to her own bank accounts and attempted to steal £18,000 using its card machines.

Hassell blamed her crimes on her ‘struggle with money’, issues with her mental health and the cost of driving the 35-minute journey from home to work.
